Hello, I am Shakir Jamil, a 24-year-old aspiring entrepreneur in Bihar. I was born and brought up in Patna, Bihar. I completed my matriculation from Rose Bud School (ICSE board) in 2012. Went on to do well in JEE and got a Graduation Degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Patna in 2018.
I have always been excited to build and create some solutions for the masses and in the course of that, I co-founded Onibus Technologies Private Limited in 2017 when I was in the third year of my engineering college. Our company provided academic and transport tracking solutions to schools and helped the parents to stay updated with all the details from their child’s school.
We also went on to be a certified startup under Bihar Startup Policy and were offered seed funding under the scheme in 2019. We were also incubated at NIT Patna’s incubation center.
I also worked closely with the Professor-In charge of NITP’s Incubation Centre while the incubation center was being set up. We have also developed solutions for Government educational institutes viz. Patna University, where we got the project of Patna University Library Automation in 2019.
Apart from this, I have recently joined Karekeba Ventures LLP, which is an impact investment platform for startups as their Operations Manager in 2020.
Karekeba Ventures provide early-stage startups of Bihar with hands-on support and access to world-class mentors for a better understanding and development of their startups. It also helps them in terms of incubation, mentorship, and seed funding.
I am hopeful that together we can make an impact and more so we can create an ecosystem that will be a stepping stone in changing the fortune of our state – Bihar.
